DESCRIPTION
Limited edition green & red splattered vinyl LP pressing. 1972 French studio recording. The legendary Detroit band. Their first single (included here as extra tracks) was released in 1967, they went on to be the 'Official White Panther Party Band' preaching revolutionary ideology alongside dope, sex and r'n'r. They played the infamous 1968 Democratic Convention that turned into a police riot. Their manager, John Sinclair became a hippie martyr after being jailed for 10 years for two joints, inspiring John Lennon's '10 For 2' song. They were thrown off their first label, Electra, and signed to Atlantic for two more albums. Now greatly revered as one of the seminal rock'n'roll bands and a huge inspiration for punk. Thunder Expressdocuments their first and last studio work - six tracks recorded in France in '72 at Studio Castle Herouville for a TV show; plus 4 tracks from their first two singles from 1966 and 1968. The title track is a previously unreleased song unavailable elsewhere. Two extra tracks from the rare earliest single 'Borderline', are added.
