The Detroit-based Cosmic Folk group unites guitarists and vocalists Jeff Raudebaugh and Joey Del Re with upright bassist Paul Sallèles. Their sound applies improvisation and minimalism to singer/songwriter material. The result is a delicate soundscape informed by jazz and folk elements that carries an undercurrent of intensity and psychedelia, not married to a particular era or set style. 

Their debut album ‘Ordinaire' features the band in their natural habitat: live performance with freeform sensibility that conjures a feeling, rather than a tradition or aesthetic. The album’s simplicity and live-format recording is a counterpoint to the modern search for musical perfection.
